Ranchi, 28 September (Hindustan Reporter). After a long agitation by the Artificial Insemination Workers (AI Workers) of the state, important decisions have been taken in the talks held with Agriculture, Animal Husbandry Department Minister Deepika Pandey Singh and Animal Husbandry Director Kiran Pasi, CEO of JSIA.

AI Employees Union President Ajay Kumar Mishra said that talks have been held with JCIA officials on four major points, due to which there can be big good news for AI workers in the next two weeks. There was a demand from the government to pay the dues from the year 2019 and to give wages to the workers on the basis of minimum wages.

JSIA has said that all the previous outstanding amounts have been made available to the districts, which will be received soon. Apart from this, a proposal will be sent to the department to increase the fixed amount from Rs 1500 to Rs 6000 per month to the employees. A proposal to increase the mobile recharge amount to Rs 300 instead of Rs 150 will also be sent to the department. On regularization of AI workers on the basis of preference, it has been said that in future, AI workers will be given preference in the matter of appointment of livestock assistants etc. Similarly, the government has also shown a positive attitude regarding framing of rules for AI workers.
