Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold talks with self-reliant millionaires from different states of the country in New Delhi on March 11. 20 Lakhpati Baideos of Assam will participate in this program. State Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Ranjit Kumar Das today extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to these 'Lakhpati Baideos' of Assam.
Minister Das today spoke to 20 self-reliant lakhpati Baideos from various development areas of the state going to New Delhi through video conference from the meeting room of the Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission office in Panjabari, Guwahati. The Minister learned from the members of the Self Help Groups through video conference how 'Lakhpati Baideo' have become self-reliant by increasing their sources of income through various productive and income generating activities.
He said that the increase in production and income of SHGs in Assam is a very good sign for the economy of the state. Stating that more than one crore women in the country are now becoming self-reliant and becoming 'Lakhpati Baideo', the Minister said that Prime Minister Modi has taken steps to make 2 crore more women 'Lakhpati Baideo' in the coming year. Noting that more than 8 lakh Self Help Group members of Assam have become Lakhpatis, the Minister said another 10 lakh women are targeted to become 'Lakhpati Baideo' under the Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission in the coming years. The minister also mentioned the Chief Minister Women Entrepreneurship Mission being implemented in the state.
The minister also took stock in detail through video conference how Assam's 'Lakhpati Baideo', who will be in New Delhi to participate in the talks with the Prime Minister on March 11, was selling his products or getting money from banks, financial Were taking help from institutions etc. Each 'Lakhpati Baideo' gave information about his income and ways of earning and success.
The Minister also made a video regarding how Assam's millionaire Baideo, who reached New Delhi and participated in the discussion with the Prime Minister on March 11, sold her own produce or took help or facilities from banks, financial institutions etc. Took detailed information through conference.
It is noteworthy that these Lakhpati Baideo are engaged in agriculture, poultry-duck rearing, vegetables, dairy, fish production, vermicompost preparation, handloom products, jewellery, gamochha and textiles, nursery, biscuits, pitha-laru, pickles, terracotta, bamboo-cane. Through video conference, the women told the Minister about being able to become economically self-reliant through production and earning work related to products, beautification products, gardening etc.
It should be known that the annual income of these self-reliant 'Lakhpati Baideos' is more than Rs 1 lakh to 10 lakh. The millionaire Bidens told the minister that apart from becoming self-reliant, some people have also been able to establish themselves and train others. The minister said the interaction with the Prime Minister will encourage Lakhpati Baideo as well as women members of self-help groups of the state to engage in production and income-oriented activities with renewed vigour.
