Kannauj, 22 July (HS). State Minister (Independent Charge) of Social Welfare Department Asim Arun is taking prompt action on the complaints received against corruption. The police arrested the accused employee Indresh after examining the evidence provided. The police have found phone call recordings of money being transferred online and bribe being demanded. The Social Welfare Department has also initiated the process of suspending him.
Tirvaganj resident Mamtanjay told Sadar MLA Asim Arun that he had filled the scholarship form which was rejected. For this Mamtanjay went to Vikas Bhawan and contacted him, where he met employee Hridesh Kumar. He took Rs 8,250 in his account in lieu of getting Mamtanjay to do the work of another student. Even after taking the bribe, the work was not done by the accused employees.
Mamatanjay told the Sadar MLA that even after the work was not done, Hridayesh started calling from other numbers and asking for bribe again. In the complaint given to the police, Minister Asim Arun has written that I fear that such corrupt employees may have deceived other students and taken bribe, which needs to be investigated seriously in public interest. On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Because the student was hesitant to become a plaintiff due to the good and bad. The minister decided that he would file a First Information Report on his own.
