Jhansi, 25 July (HS). The Mineral Department has taken seriously the matter of illegal basement excavation being carried out with a JCB outside Laxmi Gate. The team of the Mineral Department reached the spot, inspected it and issued a notice to the illegal builder and has prepared to recover lakhs of rupees. The mine inspector said that this was mining without permission.

It is noteworthy that for the past one week, ignoring all the rules, a twenty feet deep basement was dug illegally with a JCB machine at the densely populated area Laxmi Gate without taking permission from JDA and Mineral Department. Due to which many houses in the densely populated area developed cracks due to the operation of the JCB and many people were in panic due to the fear of the house collapsing. When the videos and news of this incident went viral on social media, the concerned departments JDA and Mineral Department woke up from their Kumbhakarani sleep. The Mineral Department inspected the spot today with its survey team.

The mineral officer issued his statement to the media and said that no permission was taken from his department to illegally dig basement by running JCB machine in densely populated area. He said that the team has found irregularities during inspection. Action is being taken by issuing notice to the concerned. It is being estimated that lakhs of rupees can be recovered from the concerned in this case.

In this regard, mine inspector Atul Dubey said that he got the information through the media. More than 500 cubic meters of soil and 30-40 cubic meters of boulders are being mined without permission. The matter has been investigated and submitted to the ADM. The notice is being served.
