Surat and Mumbai. For the first time in this election, before the results are declared on Tuesday 19th, there is an assembly-like political atmosphere.

After 28 years in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Parivar-dominated Rajkot Nagrik Bank, two Sangh Parivar panels are contesting against SAM. This election has become more controversial especially since there is a direct clash between the group of Jyotindrabhai Mehta alias Mama, who currently dominates the bank, and his brother Kalpak Maniyar, former chairman of Bhanj Bank.

The Jyotindra Bhai Mehta-backed Sahyog panel fielded candidates on all 21 seats, while the Kalpak Maniyar-inspired Sanskar panel, covering Rajkot urban area, fielded 15 candidates, but five forms of the Sanskar panel were canceled during form verification. Now it has 11 candidates while Sahyog Panel won 6 out of 21 seats unopposed. Voting for 15 seats in Rajkot city will be held tomorrow at Bank Bhawan near Raya Circle.

Nagrik Bank has a total of 332 representative voters, out of which 196 are in Rajkot city itself. As a result, the real fight is on 11 seats in Rajkot city. Sahayog panel has been allotted apple and Sanskar panel has been allotted mike election symbol.

Voting will take place tomorrow from 8 am to 4 pm. For this, all the preparations have been completed by the District Collector system and the responsibility has been assigned to a Deputy Mamlatdar level officer at each polling station.

Apart from this, complete vigilance is being taken by the collector system to ensure that there is no dispute in this high voltage election and for the first time in cooperative elections, web casting and video recording of all the polling stations will also be done. ,

After voting, the ballot boxes will be kept in the strong room set up in the Collector’s office and will be opened in the presence of the candidates at the time of counting on Tuesday.

Let us tell you that in the Nagarik Bank elections, there was a dispute over the cancellation of forms of four candidates, including Sanskar panel leader Kalpak Maniyar and a candidate from the Sahyog panel, and the matter had reached the High Court, but the Maniyar faction got legal relief from the High Court.

While Sanskar Panel has announced to continue its fight even after the elections, more exciting turns are expected in the coming days.
