ASP Tribhuvan Nath Tripathi said on Friday that when Suresh, a resident of Rehab Pratham, went out for a walk at six in the morning, the body of his father Ramlakhan Baiga (58) was lying soaked in blood at a distance behind the house. As soon as he saw the blood-soaked body, he started shouting loudly due to which a crowd of villagers gathered at the spot. Suresh, the son of the deceased, told that like every day, his father had gone to sleep in the new house built at a distance of 800 meters from his old house on Thursday night and this morning he saw his dead body lying there.
Police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and have started investigating the incident. The forensic team is also collecting evidence from the spot. He told that the body of 58 year old Ramlakhan Baiga was found behind his house this morning. He was murdered by a blow to his head. Yesterday during the day, Ramlakhan Baiga was roaming in the village with his friends under the influence of alcohol. At present, a case has been registered against unknown persons and the matter is being investigated. The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. The matter will be revealed as soon as possible and strict action will be taken against those involved in the incident.
