Chittorgarh, 10 November (Hindustan Reporter). A student of Mewar University located in Gangrar subdivision area of the district died due to drowning in a well. This student had gone with his friends to have dinner at a hotel located on the highway outside the university. He died after falling into a well located behind the hotel. After getting information about this, Gangrar police station reached the spot. On Sunday morning, the Civil Defense team was called to the spot and the body was taken out. Post mortem of the dead body will be done after the arrival of family members.
According to the information received from Gangrar police station, four students studying in Mewar University located in Gangrar subdivision area had come to the UBC Hotel located on the highway to have dinner on Saturday night. During this time a student fell into the well located behind the hotel. When other students came to know about this, they informed the hotel owner. Later, Gangrar police station and university administration were also informed. On this, ASI Balwant Singh May, in-charge from Gangrar police station, reached the spot of Japte and took information about the matter. Higher officials were also informed. On this, along with Gangrar Deputy Prabhulal Kumawat, officials of the university management and other students also reached the spot. The student was identified as Nirbhaysingh son of Sab Prabhatsingh Poddar, resident of Patna, Bihar. He was a first year Pharma student in Mewar University. On the information of police, the civil defense team reached the spot on Sunday morning. After about half an hour of effort, the student's body was found from the well. The body has been taken out and kept in the district hospital. The family members have been informed about this accident. Post mortem of the body will be done after the arrival of family members from Bihar. It is suspected that while having dinner at the hotel at night, this student might have gone behind the hotel to use the bathroom. Here in the dark he could not find it and fell into the well. It is being told that there is a net on the back side of the hotel but there is a cut in it too, through which people can come out. Regarding the accident, Gangrar police station in-charge Balwant Singh said that on receiving information about the accident, the police had reached the spot in the night itself. The civil defense team has taken out the body. Action will be taken according to the report of the family members. The case is being investigated. The post-mortem of the body will be done on Monday after the arrival of the family members. A team of Hemant Bhoi, Mukesh Bhoi, Ratan Bhoi, Rajkumar Bhoi, Ratan Bhoi, Bhairulal, Narayan Kir from Civil Defense reached the spot and searched for the body.
