Metro Rithala-Narela-Nathupur (Kundli) corridor approved

New Delhi, 6 December (Hindustan Reporter). The Central Government has approved the 26.463 km long Rithala-Narela-Nathupur (Kundli) corridor of Phase-IV project of Delhi Metro.

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today approved the project related to Metro Phase 4.

Giving information about the decisions of the Union Cabinet, Ashwini Vaishnav said that this will further improve the connectivity between the national capital and the neighboring state of Haryana. This corridor is to be completed in 4 years from the date of approval.

He informed that the full cost of the project is Rs 6,230 crore and it will be executed by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) under the existing 50:50 Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of Government of India (GoI) and Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD). This line will be an extension of the currently operational Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Stand)-Rithala (Red Line) corridor and will improve connectivity in the north western parts of the national capital like Narela, Bawana, parts of Rohini etc. There will be 21 stations in this entire section. All the stations in this corridor will be elevated.
