DMRC Multiple Journey QR Ticket: Delhi Metro has launched QR code based multiple journey tickets to make travel easier for users. With this facility, users will no longer have to worry about carrying smart cards. Till now, users could buy metro QR based tickets only for one journey. As soon as this new service starts, users will be able to use their smartphones as smart cards, meaning passengers will neither have the hassle of buying tickets every day nor the tension of recharging and carrying smart cards.

This service of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has started from today i.e. 13th September. DMRC said that Multiple Journey QR Code is a revolutionary digital initiative, which aims to make the journey of passengers easier. Multiple Journey QR tickets can be booked through Delhi Metro's Momentum 2.0 app. After this, this app will work like your digital smart card. Using this, passengers will be able to travel in Delhi Metro whenever they want. Let's know how this app is used…

How to use DMRC Multiple Journey QR Ticket?

  • For this you will have to download DMRC Momentum 2.0 app in your smartphone.
  • Once the app is installed, log in using your mobile number and OTP.
  • After this, create your user profile.
  • You will find the option of Multiple Journey QR Code on the home screen of the app.
  • By tapping on this ticket you can buy it for Rs 150.
  • To recharge it, you can use UPI app as well as credit or debit card and net banking.

After recharging the Multiple Journey QR Ticket, open this card at the gate provided at the metro station and scan the given QR code and after completing the journey you will have to show this QR code again. After completion of the journey, the balance of this card will be reduced.

You will get recharge options from Rs 50 to Rs 3,000. Not only this, just like the smart card, you will also get the benefit of travel and coupon discounts in this new service of DMRC. In this multiple journey QR code system, passengers will be given a discount of 10 percent (peak hours) and maximum 20 percent on every journey, just like the smart card. However, to use this app, it is necessary to keep a minimum balance of at least Rs 60 in the QR ticket.
