Metro passengers pay attention!: Now Delhi Metro will go till Sonipat, three new corridors will be built; Know where the new route will be from | News India

Delhi Metro connectivity will be strengthened in NCR. For this, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has started work rapidly. Metro will conduct topography survey to prepare three new corridors. Tender has also been issued for this. These corridors will be built from Delhi to Noida Sector-142, Samaypur Badli to Kundli and Kundli to Sonipat. After the construction of these corridors, the connectivity of metro in Noida will increase further. Also, people commuting from Delhi to Sonipat will get great relief, because metro service will start for the first time in Sonipat.

According to Metro officials, with the help of topography survey, feasibility study and detailed project report (DPR) will be prepared for all three corridors. After the tender is allotted, the work will have to be completed in 12 months. After this, DMRC will start further process related to construction. The proposed corridor will be built from Samaypur Badli to Haryana border Kundli and then from Kundli to Sonipat. After the construction of this corridor, passengers will be able to go directly from Gurugram to Sonipat. Also, passengers coming from Sonipat will be able to go to Delhi or Gurugram.

Work is going on on three corridors

Currently, Delhi Metro is working on three corridors under its Phase-4. In 2019, the construction of three corridors of about 65 km length was approved. Work is going on on Aerocity-Tughlakabad, RK Ashram Marg-Janakpuri West and Majlis Park-Maujpur corridors at a cost of about Rs 24,950 crore. In this, the work of RK Ashram-Janakpuri West corridor is almost complete. It is planned to start it this month. At the same time, the Aerocity-Tughlakabad and Majlis Park-Maujpur corridors are targeted to be completed in 2026.

Residents of Noida and South Delhi will benefit

A 15 km long metro corridor will be built from Tughlakabad to Noida Sector-142. People living in South Delhi and around Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will be able to travel through this corridor. Passengers will reach Tughlakabad metro station before Noida. From here, metro connectivity will be available to other areas of Delhi as well as to IGI Airport. Passengers will be able to reach IGI from Tughlakabad metro station through the Tughlakabad-Aerocity line of DMRC's under construction Phase-4.

All the districts of Haryana adjoining Delhi will be connected by metro

Four districts of Haryana are adjacent to Delhi. These include Faridabad, Gurugram, Jhajjar and Sonipat. Except Sonipat, all other districts are connected to Delhi Metro. After the start of Metro in Sonipat, all the districts of Haryana adjacent to Delhi will have Metro connectivity.
