Punjab Weather Update: After a slight change in the weather on Monday, a slight drop in temperature was observed in Punjab. The maximum average temperature of the state recorded a drop of 1.3 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a rain alert in Punjab today and for the next 3 days.
It is estimated that there may be good rain in these four days. According to the Meteorological Center (IMD), a yellow alert has been issued in 5 districts of Punjab – Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr and Rupnagar. There is a possibility of rain in other districts of Punjab as well.
Orange alert has been issued in 7 districts of Punjab and yellow alert in 9 districts regarding rain on Wednesday. Meanwhile, due to active monsoon and western disturbance, there is a possibility of rain in most parts of Punjab.
Temperature reached around 40 degrees
The temperature in Punjab has been around 40 degrees for the last 5 days. The temperature of Bathinda was once again recorded at 39.8 degrees. While the temperature of Mohali was recorded at 38.1 degrees. Apart from this, during the last 24 hours, 1 mm of rain was recorded in Amritsar and 4 mm in Pathankot.
