Monsoon rains drenched people a lot in this season. Heavy rains occurred in many states in the month of September, due to which people had to face waterlogging and floods. The effect of cyclonic storm will be seen once again. Due to which there is a possibility of heavy rains in many states. Delhi NCR is likely to get relief from the heat.
Low pressure area has become active over central Bay of Bengal
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a low pressure area has become active over the west-central Bay of Bengal and the northwest Bay of Bengal near the coast of North Andhra-South Odisha due to the influence of cyclonic circulation over the central Bay of Bengal. Due to this, heavy rains have been predicted in many states for the next 6 days. Light to moderate rains may occur in Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Kerala and light rains may occur in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Puducherry.
Monsoon has departed from these states
According to the IMD, the southwest monsoon has withdrawn from parts of Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana. Due to the low pressure area, heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh from September 25 to 27. Also, heavy rains are expected in Kerala and Mahe on September 25, 29 and 30. Heavy rains are expected in Gujarat from September 25 to 28.
How will the weather be in Delhi NCR?
It has been hot in Delhi NCR for the last two days. According to IMD, the returning monsoon is expected to bring rain once again. Delhi and surrounding areas are likely to receive light drizzle on Wednesday and heavy rain with strong winds on Thursday-Friday.
There will be rain in these states too
Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura will receive heavy rainfall from September 25 to 30.
