Jammu, 18 November (HS). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir’s social media department co-in-charge Nitish Mahajan met Rajouri Assistant Labor Commissioner (ALC) Pradyot Gupta and discussed the burning issues faced by laborers in the district. The meeting focused on addressing the concerns of general laborers within Rajouri and those employed in national projects.
During the discussion Mahajan particularly stressed the need to ensure fair treatment and protection of labor rights for those involved in the construction of national infrastructure projects. He pointed out the challenges faced by these workers such as irregular wages, lack of proper safety measures and limited awareness about their rights under various government schemes. The Assistant Labor Commissioner assured Nitish Mahajan of taking prompt steps to address the concerns raised and work towards improving the living and working conditions of laborers in the district.
