Dharamshala, August 22 (HS). Students and faculty members of the School of Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Management of Himachal Pradesh Central University planted saplings under the program “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” in the garden established in Dhauladhar Campus 2. Dean Prof. Suman Sharma encouraged the students to participate enthusiastically in such programs.
Department Head Prof. Ashish Nag said that the School of Tourism Travel and Hospitality Management always inspires students to protect the environment. In this series, the students of the school participated in the program “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” today and planted Ayurvedic plants in the campus and also took an oath to protect them. Associate Professor Dr. Devashish Sahu, Assistant Professor Dr. Arun Bhatia, Dr. Harish Kumar, Dr. Sundararaman, Dr. Amrik Singh etc. teachers, students and researchers were present in this program.
On the other hand, a plantation program was organized on Thursday by the NSS unit in Himachal Pradesh Central University Shahpur Campus under the campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”. Prof. Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Jitendra Kumar (Program Officer) and NSS volunteers were present in the program. Under the campaign, plants of different species were planted in the university campus, which included lemon, mango, guava etc.
