UP Weather Update: The scorching heat and heat wave continues to wreak havoc in large parts of the state including Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. There was a slight change in the temperature of the state on Sunday, but there was no respite from the scorching heat. According to Zonal Meteorological Center Lucknow, there are chances of heat wave in 40 districts of the state on Monday also. However, it is a matter of relief that an active Western Disturbance is knocking, which is expected to change the weather pattern from April 28.
Banda hottest with 46.6°C, mercury rises in Lucknow too
Banda district of Bundelkhand once again remained the hottest on Sunday, where the maximum temperature 46.6 degrees Celsius were recorded. Sangam city Prayagraj also remained hot like a furnace with 45.7 degrees. Heat wave alert in these 40 districts today
The Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave warning in 40 districts of the state on Monday. People living in these districts have been advised to take special precautions during the afternoon:
Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Auraiya, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi and Lalitpur.

According to meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, not only the days but also the nights have now become restless. ‘Cooling’ effect of rain and storm from April 28
The good news for the people of Uttar Pradesh, who are facing the scorching heat, is that the effect of Western Disturbance will become active in Western Uttar Pradesh from the night of 27th April and in Eastern Uttar Pradesh by 28th April.
Drop in temperature: By the beginning of May, there will be a significant drop of 3 to 5 degrees Celsius in the mercury of the state.
Storm and rain: There is a possibility of dust storm and light rain with thunder in many districts in the next two days, due to which the effect of heat wave will be completely eliminated and the weather will become pleasant.
