Jaipur, May 19 (HS). The heat is continuously oppressing the state. On Sunday, the temperature in eight cities of the state was recorded above 46 degrees. The night temperature in 11 cities remained above 30. The day of Sri Ganganagar and the night of Jodhpur were the hottest. The weather changed in many cities on Sunday. In Nagaur, Sawai Madhopur, Pilani and Jaipur, the weather changed in the afternoon and there were dense clouds. Light to moderate rain accompanied with strong winds. This provided relief to the people of these cities from the scorching heat. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain was recorded at some places in Jaipur, Bikaner, Jodhpur and Bharatpur divisions on Sunday.
According to the Meteorological Department, the day of Sri Ganganagar with 46.7 degrees and the night of Jodhpur with 33.1 degrees were the hottest in the state. The scorching heat has made life difficult for the common people. Amidst the increasing heat, even AC-coolers are now seen dying. Apart from Sriganganagar, the day temperature in Pilani, Kota, Dholpur, Baran, Jalore, Fatehpur and Karauli was recorded above 46. Whereas in Jaipur, Ajmer, Alwar Kota, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Phalodi, Bikaner, Dungarpur and Jalore, the night temperature has been recorded above 30. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert that the heat wave will continue with intense heat in the coming days.

The maximum temperature of Jaipur was recorded at 44.4 degrees on Saturday and the minimum temperature was 30.9 degrees on Friday.
