Meghraja will hit Banaskantha, Surat, Tapi and Narmada, Meteorological Department issued red alert for extremely heavy rain in 4 districts

Gujarat Weather News: Rainy conditions persist in various parts of Gujarat. Due to the activation of two rain systems in Gujarat, heavy rains are expected in the coming days. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert in various districts of the state regarding the rain conditions in the coming days.

Very heavy rains are expected in the coming days in Banaskantha, Surat, Tapi and Narmada districts of Gujarat. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in these four districts. Apart from this, an orange alert has been issued in Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Surendranagar, Botad, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Bharuch, Chhota Udaipur, Valsad, Navsari districts. Therefore, heavy to very heavy rains may occur in these districts.

Apart from this, a yellow alert has been issued after the forecast of sporadic to heavy rains in Kutch, Morbi, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Kheda, Anand, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Dahod and Dang districts. Along with this, winds can blow at a speed of 45 km per hour for the next 5 days. Therefore, fishermen have been instructed to plow in the sea.

Talking about the rainfall figures, so far the state has received an average of 20 per cent rainfall. Out of which Saurashtra has received the maximum rainfall of 29 per cent, Kutch 25 per cent and South Gujarat 21 per cent.

Due to the torrential rains in South Gujarat, North Gujarat and Saurashtra for the last few days, life has been disrupted at many places. 67 roads have been closed for traffic due to waterlogging caused by heavy rains. These include two state highways, 57 panchayat-owned and 8 other roads.

Today, from 6 am to 8 pm, rain has been reported in 113 talukas of the state. Out of which, 17 talukas have received more than 1 inch of rain and 5 talukas have received more than 2 inches of rain. During the 4 hours from 6 am to 10 am, Meghraj batted fiercely and brought 8 inches of rain in Danta of Banaskantha district. Due to which many fields have turned into barns, farmers have suffered losses. Due to heavy rain, water has entered the Danta Referral Hospital, due to which doctors, patients and patients' relatives are facing a lot of trouble.

Apart from this, Tilakwada in Narmada district received 2.5 inches of rain, Vadgam in Banaskantha received 2.5 inches of rain, Palanpur received 2.5 inches of rain, Kukarmunda in Tapi received 2.5 inches of rain, Umarpada received 1.5 inches of rain. Nandod in Surat received 1.5 inches of rain, Halol in Panchmahal received 4.5 inches of rain, Satlasana in Mehsana received 7.5 inches of rain.
