Delhi Pollution: There is good news for the residents of Delhi-NCR. Delhi’s air quality has been improving for the last few days. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) today on Friday lifted the restrictions on Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP)-3 regarding air quality across Delhi. Let us tell you that earlier the restrictions of GRAP-4 were removed.
As Delhi’s air quality improves, all types of trucks will now be able to enter, schools will open and the ban on BS4 diesel and BS3 petrol vehicles will be removed. However, some restrictions under GRAP-2 will still remain in place.
Sanctions lifted under GRAP-3 and GRAP-4
– All trucks will now get access to Delhi.
-All schools of NCR will be opened.
-Ban on BS4 diesel and BS3 petrol vehicles will be removed.
– The ban on construction work will be lifted, but strict steps will have to be taken to stop dust.
Restrictions will remain in place under GRAP-2
– Ban on diesel generators in residential, commercial and industrial units.
– Notice to increase parking charges, frequency of CNG-electric buses and metro.
– Permission to use diesel generators for emergency services.
– CAQM directed to increase parking fees, so that the pressure of private vehicles on the roads is reduced.
It rained in Delhi-NCR this Friday morning. It rained in many areas including Faridabad, Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram. Cold increased in NCR due to heavy rains. When it rained early in the morning, the condition of people going to office worsened. Air quality improved due to rain. Due to which people got cleaner air to breathe than before.
