Sudden floods in rivers caused heavy damage

Apart from this, there has been heavy damage due to excess water in various rivers of Uttar Pradesh. There is still high water level and flood situation in the rivers in these states. Also, according to the report received from the Union Ministry of Water Power, there is a strong flow in many rivers from Maharashtra to Karnataka and Tamil Nadu including Telangana and the water level has reached above the danger mark. In such a situation, the monitoring team of the central government has started preparations to shift the population living on the banks of these rivers to safer places.

On Monday morning, a complete report of the water level of rivers flowing in various states has also been given to the Ministry of Jal Shakti. According to the report, the water level in about 23 tributary rivers including the major rivers is continuously rising.

  • The water level of Krishna river flowing in Kolhapur, Maharashtra has started flowing above its normal level. The situation is that the water level in Kurunvad area of ​​Kolhapur has been found to be higher than normal.

  • The Godavari river flowing in Telangana is also flowing continuously with its rising water level in this state. The highest water level of this river flowing through various districts of Telangana has been seen in Mulugu district. The central government has given clear instructions to the state government to keep the local residents on alert mode wherever the water level of the rivers is rising in their state. Apart from this, rescue agencies have also been alerted for any kind of accident.
  • The Hemavathi river in Hassan district of Karnataka is also becoming dangerous in areas due to its fast water flow. It is known that the water level of this river is highest in Sakleshpur area of ​​Hassan district. The rivers are not high only in South India, Telangana and Karnataka.
  • High water levels have been observed in the rivers of Andhra Pradesh including Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Apart from this, the water level of the Swarna river flowing in Udupi is also continuously rising. The Hemavathi river flowing through Mandya district of Karnataka is continuously flowing above its normal water level. At the same time, the water level of the Aghanashini river in Karnataka is continuously flowing above its normal flow. Actually, all these rivers merge into various southern rivers as tributaries and flow in various states. Therefore, the increased water level in these rivers is bound to affect other southern states as well. Apart from South India, the havoc of river floods continues in North India as well.

  • The flow of water has increased in the Kuanu river flowing in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, the Mula river flowing north and south as well as west from Pune district is continuously flowing above its normal water level. The Yerla river flowing in Sangli of the same state is also continuously moving ahead with its rising water level. According to the information, the water level of this river is continuously increasing. The water level of the Panchganga river flowing in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra is also flowing 83 meters above normal. The water level in Pune's Bhima river has also been rising continuously for the last few days.
  • The condition of Tapi river flowing in Narmada, Tapi, Surat district of Gujarat is also dangerous. The water level of this river is constantly rising. Amid the continuous rise in water level in rivers of all states of the country, the central government has also instructed the NDRF to keep constant monitoring.
