Shillong, July 20 (HS). Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has expressed concern over the situation arising out of the anti-reservation student movement in Bangladesh. He said that this is a local issue. We are concerned about the Indian students studying there.

Sangma said that the situation is frightening. As soon as we got the information, we immediately swung into action. About 405 students of India have been evacuated from Bangladesh. 80 of them are from Meghalaya. The Meghalaya government is constantly in touch with the Indian Embassy.
