Katihar, 13 November (HS). The meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee “Disha” was held in Vikas Bhawan Auditorium under the chairmanship of MP Tariq Anwar. In this meeting, various schemes run by the Central Government were reviewed and necessary steps were discussed for the development of the district.
In the meeting, District Magistrate Manesh Kumar Meena gave information about the schemes run by various departments and said that under the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, work has been allotted to about 57,27,036 job card holders in this financial year.
Tariq Anwar said that the main objective of this meeting is to speed up the developmental works and provide benefits of government schemes to the common people. He called for coordination with the district administration and public representatives.
Various MLAs, District Council President, Chief Councilor of Nagar Panchayat and district level officials were present in the meeting. Through this meeting, new dimensions will open in the development of the district and the common people will get the benefits of government schemes.
The District Magistrate said that a budget of Rs 100 crore has been allocated for various development works in the district. This budget will be used for the development of the district.
Apart from this, special attention will be given to the fields of education, health and infrastructure in the district. New projects have been announced for the development of the district, which will provide employment opportunities to the people of the district.
