Medvedev earns 350th win, Alcaraz also in quarter finals

Defending champion Daniil Medvedev won his 350th career match and defeated Dominic Kiefer in straight sets to reach the quarterfinals of the Miami Open tennis tournament for the fourth consecutive year. Medvedev defeated Kiefer 7–6, 6–0. Top seed Carlos Alcaraz also continued his campaign with a comfortable 6-3, 6-3 win over 23rd seed Lorenzo Musetti. In the quarterfinals, Alcaraz will face 11th seed Grigor Dimitrov, who defeated Hubert Hurkacz 3-6, 6-3, 7-6. In the last-eight, Medvedev will face 22nd seed Nicolas Jarry, who won against Casper Ruud in straight sets 7-6, 6-3. Australian Open champion and second seed Yannick Sinner recorded his 19th win in 20 matches this year by defeating Christopher O'Connell 6-4, 6-3. In women's singles, fourth seed Elena Rybakina entered the semi-finals by defeating eighth seed Maria Sakkari 7-5, 6-7, 6-4 after a tough battle of two hours and 48 minutes. Two-time Grand Slam champion Victoria Azarenka continued her campaign with a 7-6, 1-6, 6-3 win over Yulia Putintseva.
