Araria 23 October (Hindustan Reporter). The police has claimed to have solved the murder case of drug dealer Deepak Bhagat in Marwari Patti of Araria Nagar police station area within 48 hours. In the case, the police arrested six criminals, which include four criminals from other districts. From the arrested criminals, the police recovered a country-made pistol used in the incident, six live cartridges, two motorcycles, eight mobiles and the clothes worn by the criminals at the time of the incident. The missing clothes have been recovered. Among the arrested criminals, three are from Madhepura, one from Purnia and two from Mahalgaon police station area of Araria. The SIT formed by SP Amit Ranjan, taking the help of scientific and technical research, made the revelation regarding the incident. SP Amit Ranjan gave the information on Wednesday.
SP Amit Ranjan said that on the night of October 20, Deepak Bhagat was murdered by unknown criminals who entered his shop and shot him. Regarding the incident, FIR case number 539/24 dated 20 October 24 was registered in the city police station under section 103(1), 3(5) BNS and 27 Arms Act. After the incident, SIT was formed under the leadership of Sadar SDPO Ram Pukar Singh along with DSP Headquarters, Araria Nagar Police Station, Raniganj Police Station, DIU.
SP said that by analyzing CCTV footage, tower dump, CDR, SDR, all the six criminals involved in the incident were arrested by the SIT with the help of scientific and technical research. SP said that the arrested were from Bagnagar ward number of Mahalgaon police station area. 20 year old Chhotu Kumar alias Nishant Yadav, father – Jagdish Yadav and 19 year old Sonu Kumar, father – Jageshwar Mandal, resident of 2, while working as liners for the cash robbery, had planned the robbery along with other arrested associates in Purnia. Sahil father – Mo. Moin was arrested. In the same case, 19-year-old Aryan Kumar, father of Suresh Mahato of Rupauli police station area of Purnia was arrested.
Taking the help of scientific and technical research, the police recovered the country-made pistol used in the incident, 6 live cartridges, two motorcycles, 8 mobiles and the clothes worn at the time of committing the incident from these arrested criminals.
In the SIT team formed in the raid, Raniganj police station incharge Nirmal Kumar Yadvendu, Araria Nagar police station incharge Manish Kumar Rajak, SI Manish Kumar, Kumar Rishiraj, Ankur, DIU branch's ASI Vivek Prasad, Nagendra Kumar along with DIU team and armed forces personnel were present.
