Medical staff holiday canceled due to 17 deaths in Rajouri

Rajouri-Jammu: After the death of 17 people due to mysterious disease in Sabal village of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials have canceled doctors and paramedics holidays. The number of Quarantine people has increased to 230 due to this disease.

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said that initial test at the poisonous laboratory in Lucknow has shown that there is no virus or bacteria but a poisonous substance. Dr. Amarjeet Singh Bhatia, Principal of Rajori Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital, addressed a press conference in Rajouri on Friday and announced that all the holidays of doctors and paramedics staff have been canceled.

He said that the winter holidays of employees would be canceled to deal with the situation in the last one and a half months, when 17 people from three families died of mysterious disease and separated 230 people.

He further said that the Jammu and Kashmir government has sent 10 additional medical students to GMC Rajouri to help the medical staff in the ongoing health crisis there. At present, the health status of three people undergoing treatment here is being closely monitored.
