Meaningful action by Saran Police in Bihar, first punishment under new BNS law | News India

Patna, 03 September (HS). On 17th July, three people were murdered with a sharp weapon on the roof of the house of villager Tarakeshwar Singh alias Jhabar Singh in Dhanadih village under Rasulpur police station of Saran district in Bihar. In this regard, two accused have been convicted on Tuesday under Rasulpur police station case number-133/24, Indian Justice Code (BNS). The punishment for which will be pronounced on 5th September.

In this regard, in a press conference today, Saran Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr. Kumar Ashish informed that after registering a case under Sulpur police station case number-133/24, Indian Justice Code (BNS), and conducting quick investigation and action, two accused Sudhanshu Kumar alias Roshan, father- Santosh Ram, 2. Ankit Kumar, father- Sunil Ram were arrested and sent to judicial custody. Along with this, the investigation on other points related to this incident was completed at a fast pace and a charge sheet was submitted in the court against the accused within 14 days.

SP Ashish said that the court started the speedy trial in this case on August 13 and today on the 22nd day, both the accused Sudhanshu Kumar alias Roshan, father- Santosh Ram, 2. Ankit Kumar, father- Sunil Ram have been convicted under section 103 (1) / 109 (1) / 329 (4) BNS. The court will pronounce the sentence to the accused convicted in this case on September 5 at 12 noon.
