Kishanganj, 19 August (HS). An intensive MDA campaign is going on in Thakurganj block of the district since August 10 for the elimination of filariasis. The speed of the campaign has been increased to ensure that 100% of the targeted population consumes the medicine within the stipulated time period. So that the successful operation of the campaign can be ensured and people can be protected from this disease at the community level.
In this series, an intensive MDA campaign was also run in Thakurganj block on Monday. Under this, the health team went door to door and made people consume Albendazole and DEC medicines. Apart from this, people were also given medicines by setting up booths in the community health center. Civil surgeon Dr. Rajesh Kumar said, the campaign is getting positive support from the general public and people are showing a lot of enthusiasm towards taking the medicine, which is a big proof of positive change at the community level.
