Today's era is digital and social media platforms are being used extensively. In this rapidly changing era, Bank of Baroda, keeping in mind the convenience of the city residents, has started a state-of-the-art service 'Whatsapp based tax collection service'.
The Mayor said that this occasion is a moment of great pride for us. Because citizens will receive notifications through WhatsApp and SMS to remind them about their house tax and water tax etc. and due bills and will help the citizens to pay their taxes sitting at home. This will free them from long queues and other problems. The Mayor said that not only this, Bank of Baroda has also prepared a mobile based application, which will help in door-to-door collection of property tax, water tax and other non-taxes. This service will facilitate citizens to deposit taxes conveniently at their doorstep.
Along with this, another innovative step taken by Bank of Baroda is the use of AI camera technology. This camera will identify illegal and unauthorized hoardings. Will inspect the situation of garbage accumulation in public places and give information about broken street lights. This technology will play an important role in keeping the city clean, beautiful and organized. It will also be used in the upcoming Mahakumbh. In the end the Mayor said that in this digital age this step will take us to a new height towards progress and accessibility.
During this, Chief Tax Assessment Officer, Chief Finance and Accounts Officer, Deputy General Manager of Bank of Baroda Mrs. Rachna Mishra, AGM Bank of Baroda Chandrakant Chakraborty, EY Consultant Prabhat Yadav and Ashwani Kumar etc. were present.
