Lucknow, August 18 (HS). Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president Mayawati has questioned the decision of direct recruitment on 45 high posts of joint secretary, director and deputy secretary at the Centre. She said that due to this step the employees will be deprived of promotion.

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati said in a post on social media that the government's decision to make direct recruitment to 45 high posts of Joint Secretary, Director and Deputy Secretary at the Centre is not correct. Because the employees working on lower posts through direct recruitment will be deprived of the benefits of promotion. She further said that if people from SC-ST and OBC categories are not appointed in proportion to their quota in these government appointments, then it will be a direct violation of the Constitution. Making direct appointments to these high posts without making any rules will be the arbitrariness of the BJP government, which will be illegal and unconstitutional.
