Prayagraj, 04 October (Hindustan Reporter). Max Super Specialty Hospital, Lucknow will provide its specialized Cardiology and Neurology OPD services at Guru Gobind Singh Memorial Hospital, Prayagraj on the first Friday of every month from 11 am to 3 pm. If operation is required, we will have to go to Lucknow. There the poor will also get benefits of government schemes.
These things were jointly told to the journalists by Dr. Vijayant Devenraj, Director and Head, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery and Dr. Tushar Kant Arora Consultant, Neurosurgery, Neuro Oncology and Spine Surgery of Max Super Specialty Hospital, Lucknow. Speaking at a hotel in Civil Lines on Friday, he said that this initiative has been taken with the aim of providing high quality health services to the patients so that they do not have to face the inconvenience of traveling to other cities to seek advice from superspecialist experts.
Dr. Vijayant Devenraj said that it is sad to see that young patients are requiring heart surgery at a very young age. We want these problems to be identified quickly and treated appropriately. On an average, I am performing bypass surgery on two young heart patients every month, a problem earlier considered rare in people under 40 years of age. This initiative is aimed at providing consultation and continuing care at the local level.
Dr. Tushar Kant Arora said that if neurological problems are treated late, the situation can become serious. We have started our services in Prayagraj to help people in case of any problem related to neurological problems. He said that we will not only treat the patients but will also make people aware about these diseases so that they can prevent these diseases from occurring or detect them in the early stages.
