New Maruti Suzuki Dzire Safety Rating: Ahead of the launch of Maruti Suzuki Dzire 2024, NCAP has released its crash test results. Equipped with advanced safety features, the new Dezire has received a 5-star rating. Apart from this, the car has been given 4-stars for the safety of children. More importantly, with this achievement, the Dezire becomes the only car from the company to come with 5-star safety.
The report released by GNCAP said that the driver's head was completely protected during the crash test and the adults were found to be safe in the side impact test. Additionally, three-point seat belts and i-Size anchorages are offered as standard.
A dummy of an 18 month old and 3 year old child was sitting in this car, which got 4-stars in child safety. On examination, the 18-month-old dummy appeared to be completely intact, while the three-year-old dummy's head and chest remained intact. Apart from this, it was also found that there is scope for improvement in neck protection.
Talking about the crash test score of the vehicle, the new Dezire scored 31.24 out of 34 points in Adult Occupant Safety, which is one of the best scores for this Maruti. In child safety, this car scored 39.2 points out of 42.
The model which is about to be launched in the Indian market was used in the crash test of Global NCAP. Maruti Suzuki has designed the new Dezire in a much better way. Now Maruti has also eliminated the safety tension from this car.
When is the new car being launched?
The 5th generation model of Maruti Dezire is going to be launched in the Indian market on 11th November. This vehicle has a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine.
