Married woman commits suicide in Gatauli village, case of dowry death registered |Live Updates,Unveiling the Latest India News Trends

Jind, 21 May (Hindustanism). A 23-year-old woman ended her life by hanging herself in Gatauli village of Julana block. Based on the complaint of the deceased's brother, the police have registered a case against four people from the in-laws' side.

The deceased's brother Deepak, a resident of Sunaria Kalan village in Rohtak district, told the police in his complaint on Tuesday that his 23-year-old sister Seema was married to Rinku of Gatauli village about four years ago. After marriage, her in-laws used to harass her sister demanding dowry. On Tuesday, his sister Seema, fed up with dowry demands, committed suicide by hanging herself. On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case of dowry death against husband Rinku, brother-in-law Bunty, brother-in-law Pradeep and father-in-law Sultan and started investigation.

Gatauli outpost incharge Krishna Mor said that the police had received information that a woman had hanged herself in Gatauli village due to demand of dowry. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and after investigation sent the body for post-mortem. Based on the complaint of the deceased's brother, a case has been registered against four people from Seema and investigation has been started.
