Marriage of 288 couples was conducted as per religious customs

Balrampur, 24 February (HS). Under the Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme, 288 couples were married as per their religious customs in the mass marriage program organized in the blocks in the district on Saturday.

Under the direction of District Magistrate Arvind Singh, mass marriage of 45 couples in development block complex Balrampur, 80 couples in development block complex Haraiya Satgharwan, 90 couples in development block complex Utraula and 73 couples in development block complex Gasdi has been conducted as per religious customs. This included 53 couples from minority category and 235 couples from other categories. Balrampur Sadar MLA Palturam, Tulsipur MLA Kailash Nath Shukla in Haraiya Satgharwa, MLA Ram Pratap Verma in Utraula and former Gansdi MLA Shailesh Kumar Singh alias “Shailu” as the chief guest distributed the material kit available to all the married couples from the government, development block. Distributed warm shawls, sweets and certificates at the level and wished everyone good luck.
