Jaipur, March 8 (HS). International Women's Day was celebrated on March 8 at North Western Railway Head Office.
According to Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, various programs were organized on the occasion of Women's Day. Street plays, poetry recitations and entertaining games were organized on the theme “If not now or never”. Also, seminars were organized on women-oriented topics like women empowerment, gender equality, workers and active participation of women in male-dominated sectors. These programs were presided over by Principal Financial Advisor Bhavana Sharma. The winning women employees in the competition were awarded. 150 women participated in the programs. All the women were presented mementos.
It is noteworthy that in the direction of women empowerment, Gandhinagar Jaipur station of North Western Railway is the first station on the main line which is being operated by women. Apart from this, many works of women empowerment are being done by North Western Railways.
