PM Kishida made this appeal to the people
Prime Minister Kishida urged people in the affected areas to constantly monitor weather forecasts and prioritize safety. In addition, Yamagata Shinkansen bullet train services were partially suspended on Thursday. The agency predicted about 20 centimeters (eight inches) more rain in the region by Friday evening and urged people to remain vigilant.
