High-profile candidates from Kerala, including Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor, KPCC chief K Sudhakaran, Minister of State K Radhakrishnan and CPI's Annie Raja, filed their nomination forms today, a day before the last day of filing nomination forms for the Lok Sabha elections.
It is noteworthy that under the second phase, elections are to be held on all 20 parliamentary seats of Kerala on 26 April. The last date for filling nomination forms for the second phase of elections is April 4.
Before going to the district headquarters to fill the election nominations, the leaders organized a road show to show their strength. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi filed nomination form from Wayanad seat.
Before filing the nomination, Rahul Gandhi held a road show in which a large number of people participated. On this occasion, Rahul accused BJP and RSS of trying to destroy the country's Constitution and India's democratic values.
CPI's Annie Raja has filed a nomination against Rahul Gandhi in Wayanad. Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor has filed nomination papers from Thiruvananthapuram. He has been MP from this seat three times.
After filling the form, Tharoor said that he was confident that he would win the election. He further said that the main fight in the state is between BJP and Congress.
