Many gifts given in the state budget for empowerment of livestock farmers: Chief Minister

Jaipur, August 3 (HS). Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the dream of developed Rajasthan will come true with the announcements made in the revised state budget 2024-25. The aspirations and hopes of the eight crore people of the state will be fulfilled with this budget. He said that the state government is working with commitment for the all-round development of all sections including farmers, livestock farmers, youth, women. Sharma was addressing the delegation of Devasi community who had come to the Chief Minister's residence on Saturday from various assembly constituencies including Sirohi and Bali to thank for the announcements made in the state budget. He said that our government is fulfilling all the promises of the Sankalp Patra.

The Chief Minister said that our country is agriculture based and livestock farmers have an important contribution in the economy of the state. Keeping this in mind, many gifts have been given in the budget for the empowerment of livestock farmers. Chief Minister Animal Husbandry Development Fund will be constituted with Rs 250 crore for animal husbandry promotion, protection and development. He said that the grant amount will be increased from 50 percent to 75 percent for breed development of dairy animals and solution to the problem of male cattle. Sharma said that for expansion of veterinary facilities in the state, various announcements have been made in the state budget, including creation of new posts of 125 veterinary doctors and 525 livestock assistants, opening of 500 new veterinary sub-centers in gram panchayats this year.

The Chief Minister said that Rs 200 crore will be spent in a phased manner for the development of basic facilities, building construction and repair work and equipment etc. in various veterinary institutions. Also, the Chief Minister Mangala Animal Insurance Scheme will be started. He said that the assistance amount given to camel herders will be increased from Rs 10 thousand to Rs 20 thousand per year and the grant payable to registered cow shelters will be increased by 10 percent.

Sharma said that many provisions have been made in the budget to increase the facilities of milk producers. Milk processing plants will be strengthened in Sardarshahr-Churu, Raniwara-Sanchor, Jhalawar, Bharatpur, Nagaur and Bikaner at a cost of about Rs 100 crore, a state-of-the-art milk powder plant of 30 metric ton capacity will be set up in Pali at a cost of Rs 95 crore and a cattle feed plant will be set up in Kota at a cost of Rs 25 crore. He said that two thousand new dairy booths will be opened. This year, one thousand Saras Mitras will be created in urban areas, one thousand 500 new milk cooperatives will be opened in two years and two thousand milk collection centers will be opened to provide fair price of milk to farmers.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is also continuously working for strengthening the infrastructure in the state. In this sequence, it has been announced in the state budget that drinking water (Pali) supply and pipeline related works will be done for Rani, Bali, Falna and 50 villages at a cost of Rs 18.90 crore. Also, works of construction, strengthening and widening of various roads will be done in Bali assembly constituency with an amount of more than Rs 176 crore. Sharma said that works related to renovation of Futia Dam (Bali)-Pali and increasing the height of the dam will be done at a cost of Rs 15.50 crore. He said that important announcements like establishment of Devnarayan Residential School in Bali, upgradation of Bali Sub-District Hospital to District Hospital, establishment of new trauma centers in Sanderaw, Desuri-Pali, establishment of fruit-flower market in Sadari-Pali, establishment of Eklavya Residential School in Bali and establishment of sports stadium in Bali have been made in the budget.

During this period, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister Joraram Kumawat, Minister of State for Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Otaram Dewasi, Jalore-Sirohi MP Lumbaram Choudhary, Devnarayan Board Chairman Omprakash Bhadana, MLA Pushpendra Singh Ranawat, Samaaram and Gopichand Meena along with public representatives and a large number of people from Dewasi community were present.
