Lucknow, March 15 (HS). As the Lok Sabha elections are approaching, a large number of leaders from other parties are looking for their place in the Bharatiya Janata Party. On Friday, many former MLAs of SP and BSP, including two former ministers, joined BJP. These leaders got membership of the party at the state headquarters of the party in front of Bharatiya Janata Party state president Bhupendra Singh Choudhary, state deputy chief minister Brijesh Pathak, former state president and cabinet minister Swatantra Dev Singh.
Former Minister of State Achhe Lal Nishad (Banda), former Minister of State and former MLA of BSP Siddh Gopal Sahu (Mahoba), former MLC of SP and former Lok Sabha candidate Shyam Sundar Singh (Jhansi), former MLA of BSP and former assembly candidate of SP Madhusudhan. Sharma (Agra), former teacher area MLC candidate from Uttar Pradesh Secondary Teachers Association Mahendra Nath Rai (Lucknow) and former BSP MLA Dr. Hafiz Irshad (Azamgarh) joined BJP.
Similarly, former MLA from SP and former District President Jitendra Verma (Agra), former assembly candidate from SP Bipin Kumar Shukla (Basti), former assembly candidate Siyawati Shukla (Unnao), former assembly candidate from BSP Anjali Maurya (Rae Bareli), former assembly candidate from BSP Assembly candidate Shelendra Singh (Agra), former BSP assembly candidate Ashish Kumar Sinha (Lucknow), former BSP assembly candidate Jagdutt Kori (Lucknow), former SP assembly candidate Lal Singh Lodhi (Agra) along with a large number of their supporters. Took membership of BJP.
During this, State General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Amarpal Maurya and State Media co-in-charge Priyank Pandey were present. State Vice President Brij Bahadur conducted the operation.
