Bank Holidays November 2024: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases the annual list of bank holidays at the beginning of each financial year. Many major Hindu festivals occur in October and November. This includes Diwali and Navratri.
During these festivals the number of people taking loans from banks increases. Due to which there is importance of buying a vehicle on the day of Dussehra and buying gold on the day of Dhan Teras.
This list of holidays for November 2024 proves to be important for consumers and businesses to plan their banking activities effectively.
- Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Belapur, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gangtok, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Shillong and Srinagar on November 1 due to Diwali, Kut and Kannada Rajyotsava.
- Banks will remain closed across the country due to the first Saturday and Sunday in the first week of 2nd and 3rd November.
- Banks will remain closed in Patna and Ranchi on 7th and 8th November due to Chhath Puja.
- Banks will remain closed in Shillong on November 8 due to Wangala Utsav.
- Due to 10th November being Sunday, all banks across the country will remain closed.
- Banks will remain closed in Dehradun on 12th November due to Igas-Bagwal festival.
- Guru Nanak Jayanti/Kartik Purnima/Rhasa Purnima on 15th November in Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Hyderabad (Telangana), Itanagar, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla and others. . Will remain closed in cities.
- Banks will remain closed across India on Sunday, November 17.
- Banks will remain closed in Bengaluru (Karnataka) on 18th November due to Kanakdas Jayanti.
- Regional holidays are celebrated due to the fourth Saturday on 23 November and the Seng Kutsnem festival in Shillong.
- All banks across the country will remain closed on Sunday, 24 November.
