He said that the Congress has never been happy with the grandeur of Kedarnath. The Congress leaders are not able to digest this smile on the faces of common devotees and local people. That is why their leaders are linking the disaster incidents with development work only for the purpose of doing politics for opposition.
State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan countered the statement of the Congress leader and said that during the Congress tenure, there was neither better management nor was any thought put forward on the reconstruction work. Therefore, it is natural for them to be unhappy with the increasing grandeur of Badri-Kedar Dham. He said that if today development is the reason for the disaster there, then why did a massive disaster occur in 2013? Congress should now accept the truth of the grand and divine Kedarpuri. Also, it should avoid spreading confusion by making baseless statements without facts.
Manveer Chauhan said that everyone is saddened by the loss caused by the disaster in Kedar Valley. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, all the agencies have done a great job and rescued about 20 thousand people from there. Targeting the Congress, he said that during their government, they never made any efforts to develop the holy places of Sanatan Dharma and after the 2013 disaster, they organized their promotional programs there with government funds. He alleged that the Congress distributed lakhs of rupees in the name of finding a new route to Kedar Dham, so now it is natural for them to be unhappy with the transformation of these Dhams. They do not want development work to be done in Kedar Dham so that the respect of Devbhoomi increases in the world and the economy of the local people increases. He said that the state has benefited a lot from the special affection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards the state. Kedarnath and other Dhams have now emerged on the world map and the state is continuously progressing under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and this is the concern of the Congress.
