Dehradun, July 11 (HS). State media in-charge of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Manveer Singh Chauhan said that the concern of Congressmen regarding the symbolic temple of Lord Kedarnath in Delhi is politically motivated or they have less understanding of Sanatan or mythological things.
BJP media in-charge Manveer Chauhan said that the importance of any Jyotirlinga does not decrease by building a symbolic temple in Delhi or anywhere else. There is mention of 12 Jyotirlingas in the Puranas and it is impossible for any change to come about by building a symbolic temple. He said that there are many symbolic temples in the country and believers have been worshipping there for centuries. The followers of Sanatan Dharma will not be hurt by this but will feel relieved.
He countered by saying that those who call a symbolic temple a centre and branch should first understand about Sanatan. Temple is not a commercial institution which can be addressed as centre or branch.
He said that the Sadbuddhi Yagna by the Congress was a farce and that these so-called protectors of the flag of religion were laughing at the insult of Sanatan when the Congress-backed lawyer was calling God imaginary in the court. At that time, they neither protested nor raised any protest in front of their high command.
Manveer Chauhan has accused the Congress of opposing Sanatan and taking a contract to insult Devbhoomi. Those who were always engaged in saving the Babri Masjid built in the name of external invaders, have objection to the construction of a temple in the name of Shri Kedarnath.
