Morena, June 29 (HS). In the three districts of Chambal division, the sowing of Kharif crop seems to be less than in other areas of the state. To improve this, seminars with farmers are required. In coordination with the farmers, such crops should be selected which are ready to be harvested by the month of October. So that the sowing of mustard in Rabi crop can be done on time. While giving this instruction to all the officers of Morena, Bhind, Sheopur, Additional Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh and in-charge of Chambal division Manu Shrivastava said that farmers should also be encouraged to sow coarse grains, pulses, sesame, kodo, kutki etc.

Shrivastava had come to Chambal division to review the better implementation of the state government's schemes and the problems being faced in them. Madhya Pradesh's New and Renewable Energy Minister Rakesh Shukla, who was present in this meeting, also suggested that the utility of solar energy can be increased in the region to solve the electricity problem. The ravines spread across the Chambal division can be used for the production of solar energy. In the meeting, MP Shivmangal Singh Tomar also apprised the meeting about the problems of Morena. Instructions were also given to the concerned collector to take action on it. On this occasion, on the instructions of Chambal Division Commissioner Sanjeev Jha, the Agriculture and Horticulture officials informed that rice is being sown in more than 1 lakh 34 thousand hectares of area in the division. This year it is being ensured that coarse grains, maize and other pulses are sown in about 16 percent of the area. Suggestions were given by the public representatives present in the meeting for the smooth implementation of the schemes. Shri Shrivastava took cognizance of these and directed the concerned officials.

This meeting was held in the auditorium of Morena Collectorate this morning under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh and Chambal Division In-charge Manu Srivastava. In which the state's New and Renewable Energy Minister Rakesh Shukla, Morena-Sheopur MP Shivmangal Singh Tomar, Municipal Corporation Morena Mayor Mrs. Sharda Solanki, Morena District Panchayat President Mrs. Aarti Gurjar, District Panchayat President Sheopur Mrs. Guddi Bai Adivasi, Ambah MLA Devendra Sakhwar, Bhind MLA Narendra Singh Kushwah, Gohad MLA Keshav Desai, Chambal Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Jha, IG Sushant Saxena, DIG Kumar Saurabh, In-charge Collector Morena Dr. Ichhit Gadpale, Bhind Collector Sanjeev Srivastava, Sheopur Collector Lokesh Kumar Jangid, Superintendent of Police Morena Shailendra Singh Chauhan, Superintendent of Police Bhind Asit Yadav, Superintendent of Police Sheopur Abhishek Anand along with division and district officers were present.

In Chambal, 70 paise is being returned for 1 unit of electricity – Shrivastava

On the issue of electricity system not being smooth in Chambal region, Additional Chief Secretary Manu Shrivastava while talking to journalists said that the problem of electricity supply and voltage is being resolved. The biggest concern is about the increasing arrears. The region is getting the lowest recovery as per the supply. Only 70 paise is being received for one unit of electricity. The support of the general public is necessary in this. Misuse of electricity has to be stopped. The problem of over billing was told to be in less areas. Work is being done to implement big projects on solar energy for the electricity system. The issue of sugar factory was told to be related to cooperation. He talked about the plan to build a dam in Chambal river after coordination with the forest department for increasing the ground water level. Discussion was also held regarding the plan to set up solar energy plants in Sagoria, Behrara Jagir.
