Paris Olympics 2024 Closing Ceremony: India's two-time Olympic bronze medallist Manu Bhaker is likely to be chosen as India's flag bearer at the Paris Olympics 2024 closing ceremony. According to news agency ANI, IOA sources said that Manu Bhaker will be the female flag bearer at the closing ceremony, while the male flag bearer has not been announced yet. The closing ceremony will be held on August 11.

Manu Bhaker has started afresh for India by winning two medals at Paris Olympics 2024. Her gun malfunctioned in the 10m air pistol qualification round at Tokyo Olympics 2021, causing her to run out of time and thus she could not qualify for the final.

Manu Bhaker made a brilliant comeback at the Paris Olympics 2024. She finished third in the women's 10m air pistol event and then won a bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event with Sarabjot Singh.

Star shuttler PV Sindhu and table tennis player Achanta Sharath Kamal led the Indian team in the opening ceremony of the Olympics. Now it is yet to be officially announced who will be the flag bearer of the Indian team in the closing ceremony.

After winning two medals, Manu Bhaker went to play the final match on August 3 to win the third medal, but missed out on making history. She is the first Indian athlete to win two medals at the Olympics. Manu Bhaker finished fourth in the women's 25m pistol event. After the defeat, Manu said, “I was nervous. I was preparing and focusing on one shot at a time, but nothing was going well for me here. I will try to win medals for India in the future too.”
