Ballia, 2 November (Hindustan Reporter). The grand finale of the five-day Ballia Mahotsav organized to commemorate the foundation day of the district took place on Friday. Delhi MP and popular Bhojpuri film actor Manoj Tiwari, who reached the program on the last day, stole the show with his presentation. He also sang songs on Mother Ganga including Sohar.
Manoj Tiwari started with 'Baliya mein lage jahan dadri ke mela e balamuwa hamare' and then sang 'International Litti Chokha' and everyone danced. When he played his popular song 'Ekre ta rahal hai gayad', the public went out of control. Manoj Tiwari refreshed everyone's childhood memories by singing 'Badhai Carpenter Khunta Cheer'. After this, everyone was entertained by playing songs from various Bhojpuri albums and Bhojpuri films.
Meanwhile, local folk artist Sunny Pandey also presented his songs. State Government's Transport Minister and City MLA Dayashankar Singh and special guest Rajya Sabha MP Neeraj Shekhar, who were present in the program, handed over letters to the beneficiaries of various government schemes and honored them. Meanwhile, dozens of eminent personalities of the district, who have done excellent work in their field, were honored with Ballia Ratna by Minister Dayashankar Singh. Minister Dayashankar Singh, while thanking the police and administrative officers involved in making the event successful, said that the Ballia Mahotsav will be organized in a more grand manner from next year. From next year the event will be made seven days long. During this, the Minister honored the people and administrative officials of the marathon and organizing committee by giving them mementos. Former minister Rajdhari Singh, SP Vikrant Veer, CDO Ojaswi Raj, BJP District President Sanjay Yadav, NPA Chairman Sant Kumar Gupta and Mithai Lal etc. were present in the program.
