New Delhi, 27 July (HS). Manoj Mittal took over as the Chairman and Managing Director (MD) of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) on Saturday. Mittal's appointment was approved by the Central Government. Earlier, he was the Managing Director of Industrial Finance Corporation of India (IFCI).
According to the official statement, the Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB), which looks for directors of public sector banks and financial institutions, recommended the appointment of Manoj Mittal as Chairman and MD of SIDBI to the Central Government on April 10. Mittal has more than 33 years of experience in the financial services sector.
It is noteworthy that Manoj Mittal has also served as MD and CEO of IFCI and Deputy Managing Director in SIDBI.
