Manish Sisodia launches education manifesto for Jangpura

Amidst the Delhi Assembly elections, big announcements are being made by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the field of education. Senior party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced the education manifesto for Jangpura constituency. This manifesto emphasizes on expansion of education infrastructure, better opportunities for students and participation of teachers.

Sisodia’s vision: Quality education for a respectable future

Manish Sisodia said,
“We want our children to grow up to be respectable individuals. For this, quality education is very important.”

Many big promises have been made in the manifesto, which are towards making the education system of the region modern and effective.

Key Announcements: New schools and modern facilities

  1. New school construction:
    • Two new schools will be built in Sarai Kale Khan and Hazrat Nizamuddin.
  2. Modernization of existing schools:
    • Modern facilities will be added to the existing schools in Firoz Shah Kotla and Hari Nagar Ashram.
    • Special attention will be given to teaching staff, safety and cleanliness.
  3. Means of transport:
    • Measures will be taken to ease transportation to school for students and teachers.

Plan for revolutionary change in education

  1. Consolidation of Education:
    • Delhi government schools will be linked with local municipal schools and Anganwadis.
    • With this, children aged 3 to 18 years will get the benefit of quality education.
  2. Training of Teachers and Principals:
    • Modern training programs will be provided in India and abroad.
    • DIET Daryaganj will be converted into a state-of-the-art training centre.
  3. Special Training for Girls:
    • Girls will be trained in the fields of arts, sports and self-defense.

Upgradation of employable education and ITI

The manifesto also promised that:

  • ITI Hazrat Nizamuddin will be upgraded with state-of-the-art technology and advanced courses.
  • Partnership will be formed with industries to create more employment opportunities.

Kejriwal’s serious allegations against BJP

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal accused BJP of irregularities in the election process.

  • He said,
    “BJP is manipulating the voter list to win the Delhi Assembly elections. This is against democracy.”
