Manish hoisted the tricolor on the top of Mount Elbus and brought glory to Mirzapur


Mirzapur, July 12 (HS). Manish Tiwari (46), a resident of village Bhorsar in the city block of the district, has brought laurels to the district by setting an example in the field of mountaineering. He successfully climbed the peak of Russia's Mount Elbrus, situated 5642 meters above sea level, and hoisted the tricolor.

Manish, a chartered accountant by profession, runs his own CA firm in Kolkata. Mount Elbrus is the highest mountain in Russia and Europe and is one of the 10 highest peaks in the world. Manish Tiwari said that he successfully climbed the difficult and challenging mountain by facing harsh weather. He and his team of mountaineers successfully climbed the mountain with determination, courage, team spirit and perseverance.

He told that on 5th July he reached the base camp of the peak Liprush under the supervision of Russian guide MD Ismail. He started climbing from there and reached Pestkov on 6th July. From there he reached the peak of Mount Elbus on the morning of 8th July. After this he returned to the base camp by 9th July.
