Manipur state chief constable posted on Mahoba election duty dies

Mahoba, 20 May (Hindustan Reporter). Voting is being held for the fifth phase in Mahoba district. Forces have also been called from outside to conduct the voting peacefully. Manipur state chief constable, who was on election duty in Mahoba, died under suspicious circumstances.

The soldiers of MPTC G Company of Manipur state were put on election duty in Mahoba. Chief constable Mang Jathang Hokip (55) was staying in a school located in Kabrai along with the soldiers of his company. Before the start of voting, he was taken to the hospital complaining of sudden chest pain. The doctors declared him dead.
