Imphal, June 01 (HS). Manipur Police conducted intensive raids and search operations in sensitive and inaccessible areas of various districts of the state. In the operation, 14 people were detained in connection with violation of various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Police today said that the movement of 66 vehicles carrying essential commodities has been ensured on National Highway No. 2. Stringent security measures have been put in place at all sensitive locations to ensure free and safe movement of vehicles.
Security forces have been deployed on a large scale in sensitive areas. Police said 96 check posts and checkpoints have been set up in various districts of Manipur, both in the hills and valley.
