Jaipur, 12 November (HS). Prabodhini Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the state on Tuesday. On Tuesday, at the break of dawn, Lord Vishnu was woken up from his sleep by blowing the conch in Brahma Muhurta. After four months, auspicious works started after the Lord woke up from sleep on Devuthani Ekadashi. On Tuesday, the process of Mahapuja and charity continued throughout the day from early morning. In the morning the Lord was anointed with Panchamrit and given supernatural adornment. After which food was offered to him. Tulsi marriage was completed in the evening with the Shaligram form of Lord Vishnu. After which the lamp was donated. All the auspicious activities like marriage, mundan, house-warming, upanayana rites etc. started from Tuesday.

That’s why Devuthani Ekadashi is also celebrated

According to astrologer Pandit Banwari Lal Sharma, Lord Vishnu had gone into Yoga Nidra for four months after killing the demon Shankhasur. Four months later, on Devuthani Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu was awakened and the responsibility of running the universe was again entrusted to him. Therefore, as soon as Lord Vishnu wakes up, auspicious works start again.

As soon as Vishnu wakes up, he gets married to Tulsi Mata.

According to mythological beliefs, Tulsi Vivah is performed as soon as Lord Vishnu wakes up on Devuthani Ekadashi. After which they are offered virtuous things. It is believed that Lord Vishnu does not accept any offering without Tulsi Dal. Therefore, food is offered to him along with the Tulsi group.

Special importance of worshiping Goddess Lakshmi

Apart from Tulsi Vivah, worshiping Goddess Lakshmi also has special significance on the festival of Devuthani Ekadashi. On this day, there is a tradition of taking holy bath, doing charity as well as donating lamps. It is said that by doing religious activities on this day one gets never-ending virtue. According to the calendar date, Trayodashi, Baikunth Chaturdashi and Kartik Purnima festivals will also be celebrated in the coming days in the month of Kartik. Donating lamps on these three dates brings special blessings of Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi.

Abujh Saave celebrated on Devuthani Ekadashi

On the occasion of Devuthani Ekadashi, auspicious events including marriages were celebrated in Chotikashi. A large number of single and group marriages took place. On Devuthani Ekadashi, the 14th mass marriage conference was organized by Mali (Saini) Social Development Service Committee in the premises of Tejaji temple located in Jaisinghpur Khor. 24 couples tied the knot in the marriage conference. MLA Balmukund Acharya reached the marriage conference and blessed the bride and groom. The wedding procession from the super market of Jaisinghpur Khor reached the premises of Tejaji Maharaj temple accompanied by drums. The procession was welcomed by Mali Saini Social Development Committee. Thousands of people from the society and many dignitaries participated in the conference. All the people who came to the conference blessed the bride and groom. In the marriage conference of Mali Saini Samaj Vikas Samiti, gifts along with necessary items were also presented to the bride and groom. Congress District President RR Tiwari, former minister Brajkishore Sharma, BJP leaders Ravi Nayyar and Bhamashah came to bless the bride and groom.

11 couples got married in the second mass marriage conference of Rajasthan Brahmin Mahasabha.

The second mass marriage conference was organized by Manav Sevaarth Charitable Trust on Tuesday on Devuthani Ekadashi at Rajasthan Brahmin Mahasabha Parshuram Bhawan, Vidyadhar Nagar Sector 4. In this, 11 couples tied the knot. The wedding programs started with the planting of the morning tree. Jagdish Sharma Guruji told that the grooms were evacuated from Shri Shiv Hanuman Temple located in Sector 4 with musical instruments. The wedding procession reached the wedding venue via various routes. After the varmala, a banquet took place. After this the marriage ceremony took place. The scholars got the marriage done according to the Vedic system. The guest felicitation ceremony was followed by a blessing ceremony. On behalf of Shri Krishna Seva Charitable Trust, Tulsi Vivah and second mass marriage conference was held at Maa ‘Wala-Dakshin Mukhi Hanuman Temple located in Vidyadhar Nagar Sector-8. A daughter from a needy family got married under the guidance of Premanand Maharaj’s disciple Dauji Maharaj. The society together insulted the daughter. Shehnai will resonate in these days

After Dev Uthani Ekadashi, marriages will also take place on 16, 17, 18, 22, 24, 25, 26, 28 and 29 November. After this, Shehnai will be heard on 4th, 5th, 9th, 10th, 14th and 15th of December. After the month of November, the best auspicious times for marriage will be available day and night on 9th and 10th December. On 14th December, only day time is favorable for marriage, because Kharmas will start after evening, due to which auspicious activities will be banned. Kharmas will start from 16th December with the entry of Sun into Sagittarius, which will last till Makar Sankranti on 15th January 2025. During this period, there will be a pause on auspicious works. Kharmas will end with the entry of Sun into Capricorn on January 15 and the Lagna Muhurta will begin again.
