Mandsaur: Case of land dispute between two parties, protest was held by keeping dead body

Mandsaur, 23 March (Hindustan Reporter). The police and administration had to face the anger of the villagers after the death of an elderly person in a bloody clash on Friday night over the farm road in Antralia village of Bhanpura police station area. After the postmortem on Saturday, the ambulance reached the village with the dead body of Lalchand, where the family members and villagers blocked the body by keeping it on the road. Police forces including SDM Chander Singh Solanki, Garoth SSP Hemlata Kuril, Mandsaur SP Gautam Solanki, Tehsildar, SDOP reached the spot.

The villagers demanded that the police station in-charge should be lined up, the illegal encroachment of the accused should be demolished, the family of the deceased should be given financial assistance and all the people involved in the incident should be arrested. However, talks continued between the family members and the administration on the path of reconciliation till 2.30 pm, but the villagers remained adamant on their demands. After this, the administration started demolishing the enclosure of the accused.

On Friday, a dispute broke out between Suthar and people of Bhat community in Natraliya village of Bhanpura over the issue of road to the farm. In this, Devi Lal, Vishnu and his 20-30 associates of Bhat community together attacked him with sticks and sharp weapons. In this, 70 year old Lalchand father Bhanwar Lal Suthar died. More than 9 people from both sides were injured in the incident and are being treated in the District Hospital, Mandsaur.
